Description

There are so many coffee machines out there, my advice to you is to look at this  professional website for tips as to what to look for in a coffee machine. What size do you need, what is your budget, what capacity does it need?  If you want a standard, occasional use coffee machine then The Krups XP100 is a good all-rounder.

It is compact sized, mid-range price too.

Features

  • Easy to operate and very compact 4-bar steam espresso machine
  • 3-way switch knob and convenient steam nozzle to froth milk
  • Removable drip tray for easy cleaning
  • 4-cup glass carafe; measuring spoon included
  • 750 watts
  • 2-year worldwide warranty

Aesthetically Pleasing

The design is sleek and beautiful and would be a nice addition to any kitchen. Unlike some coffee machines that can look awkward and cumbersome the Krups XP100 is a well thought out design.  The frother tucks away and the glass carafe has italic numerals, small touches but overall makes the machine look classy.

Powerful

The steam nozzle has a 4 bar pressure.  This is very powerful for such a small machine.  However, this does make a substantial noise when the steam is at full pressure.

Easy to Clean

This machine has a dishwasher safe drip tray and makes it very easy to keep clean.

Pros

The directions for set up are quite simple. If you are not the most eager of students when looking through manuals, this will be good for you, easy to follow.  The setting up of the machine was easy too.

The coffee goes in and the water heats up quickly, the frother did its job well, although be careful.  As with most machines the steam comes out at quite a high pressure. Just be careful not to burn yourself.

Once this is all done, you are ready to pour. The water is hot some machines the water comes out quite tepid.

As this machine is small you could put it away after use.

Cons

You will need some space as you need to get around the machine whilst operating as you need to access the selector knob on the side as well as the frothing wand.

It is very small and not for heavy use.

Is not the quietest of machines.

Conclusion

You do get what you pay for.  This is a compact-sized, mid-range model.  This machine would not be suitable for heavy use but for a couple of cups every day at home, this machine is good value for money.

The coffee comes out hot and tastes good and the frother does actually froth, the froth is stiff and like very similar to that of an actual coffee shop coffee. It is compact and light, you could easily put away in a cupboard if you need to. Overall the performance of this machine is very suited for domestic use.

If there are any problems with your machine you are covered by a 2-year world-wide warranty. Krups World Wide Warranty Assistance (800) 412 8716
